Hair Transplant
  • Combined with a PRP injection, hair transplanting at Renewme is one of the safest options for you to restore a balanced hair line and prevent further hair loss.
  • Features of Renweme
  • Hair Transplantations
  • Hair transplantation can be done by strip harvesting or by FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). Strip harvesting is a popular option at Renewme Skin Clinic because the effects are better and scars are minimal. However, we make sure to take our patients concerns into consideration, and offer a customized hair transplantation treatment plan.
  • Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
  • FUE is the optimal method for patients who are afraid of incisions or surgical scars, and want as little downtime as possible.
  • Unlike strip harvesting, when follicles are extracted from the donor site only the necessary follicles that have the right thickness and properties are extracted and transplanted.
  • This minimizes pain and scarring, and is the preferred method for patients who need a transplant but are afraid of surgeries or scars.

Transplantation Procedure

STEP 1

The hair needed for transplantation is trimmed shortly to about 2 mm.

STEP 2

The hair needed for transplantation is trimmed shortly to about 2 mm.

STEP 3

The hair needed for transplantation is trimmed shortly to about 2 mm.

FUE is recommended for the following conditions.

Otherwise, strip harvesting can be more effective, so make sure to consult your doctor!

  • Scalp incisions are impossible due to previous surgeries.
  • Hair is too short to cover any possible scars.
  • Scalp is lacking hair due to congenital or acquired scars.
  • Patient fears/refuses surgery.
  • PROS
  • Minimal pain and no linear scars
  • Necessary follicles only are extracted. Procedure works on scalps that have undergone several surgeries before.
  • Follicles are transplanted immediately after extraction, minimizing damage.
  • Results are natural because each follicle is transplanted to match previous hair properties/directions.
  • CONS
  • Effective for smaller amounts
  • Much longer procedure time compared to strip surgery (FUSS).
  • Shaving is required
  • Survival rate may decline if hairs are not straight enough.
